Snow/Inclement Procedures
HCC's performance venues do not always close when the college closes. HCC views its commitment to patrons seriously, often clearing parking lots and sidewalks of snow and sleet, making our performance venues accessible and safe, even when the college cancels classes.
- If the college declares a Code RED due to inclement weather, the Horowitz Center must be closed. The Horowitz Center Hotline will be updated to reflect cancellations no less than three hours prior to the scheduled event. The Box Office's outgoing message will also be updated. Ticket holders for events produced by the college will be contacted by the Horowitz Center Box Office regarding rescheduling and/or refunds. For events produced by external partners, patrons are encouraged to connect with the presenting organization (i.e.: Chamber Music Maryland (CMM), Columbia Film Society, CCTA, etc...).
- In the case of a Code YELLOW, it's possible that the show may go on! Please call the Horowitz Center Hotline for updates. Information will also be shared via the website and our Facebook page.
When an event is cancelled, the Horowitz Center Hotline will be updated no less than three hours prior to the event start time.
