Sharrie Hornak is the director of customized training for training and development solutions. For 22 years, she has worked in the division of continuing education and workforce development providing strategic planning, budget development, and project management for the development, implementation and management of professional development services for business, industry, government agencies, and the private sector. She holds a master’s degree in instructional systems design from University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania

Rosie Verratti is the senior director of languages and culture at Howard Community College. She has been working in the field of adult education since 1995 and began teaching English to the foreign-born in 2007. She has held the position of treasurer of Maryland Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) since 2017 and has served as both program administrator interest section chair for Maryland TESOL and the adult education interest section chair for TESOL International. She has a master’s degree in instructional design (TESOL) from University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a master’s degree in English literature from Taylor University.
