Vino Scholastico to "Raise a Glass, Raise a Scholarship" for Students April 26

The Howard Community College Educational Foundation’s 18th annual Vino Scholastico wine tasting fundraiser supports college programs and scholarships for Howard Community College (HCC) students. The event will take place on Friday, April 26, 2024, on the Howard Community College campus at 10901 Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia.
The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. in RCF 401 with a limited-seating VIP reception and “Rosé all Day” presentation with Maria Bell. The general tasting will follow at 7:00 p.m. in Academic Commons and will feature tastings of wines (including zero-alcohol options), craft beers, and spirits as well as delicious samples from area restaurants. Additionally, culinary students in the college’s baking and pastry showpieces class will prepare and serve delicious desserts and coffee in the Dragon’s Fire Café located on the lower level of Academic Commons.
Entertainment will be provided by DJ Justin White from J White Productions, and guests may purchase an entry into the Black Bag Drawing.
"Vino is more than a food and wine tasting; it's a celebration of education, community, and the joy of raising much-needed scholarship funds for deserving Howard Community College students. Cheers to a night of mingling, tasting, music, and making a difference!" says Claude de Vastey Jones, Vino Scholastico committee chair.
VIP tickets cost $125 each and include the VIP reception and general tasting. Tickets for the general tasting cost $75. For tickets and more information, visit www.howardcc.edu/vino or call 443-518-1970.
