University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC)
University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) offers on-campus tours and events and is available for virtual one-on-one appointments with students to answer questions about UMBC programs, transfer planning and resources, and the transfer admissions process. Additionally, there are web resources designed specifically for transfer students, detailing programs, financial aid information, campus support programs and services, and other transfer tips.

Do you need help planning for transfer to University of Maryland College Park? UMD Pre-Transfer Advising is available for all HCC students considering a transfer to UMD. It's never too early to start developing your plan for transfer!
UMD Pre-Transfer Advisor Jill Nagiel is available for individual advising sessions to help HCC students with:

- estimating time-to-UMD graduation
- finding the best major for your academic and career goals
- the transfer application process

Mount St. Mary's University (Frederick, MD) is offering pre-transfer advising for accelerated undergraduate degrees. Students can make an appointment for an in-person discussion, phone call, or Zoom meeting. Make a pre-transfer advising appointment
Salisbury University is hosting Virtual Transfer Tuesdays. An event just for students looking to transfer from another institution to Salisbury, meet with one of their transfer staff to discuss plans for next steps in the admissions process; review an academic course checklist for your intended major; or obtain advice on coursework to take at your current institution. The Universities at Shady Grove in Montgomery County, MD (USG) offers select degree programs from 9 Maryland public universities, all on one convenient campus in Rockville. Students apply directly to the university offering their major and simply choose USG as their preferred campus location. The professors, curriculum, and degree are the same as if students attended their home university, but students at USG benefit from increased convenience, personalization, and affordability, as well as a campus made specifically for transfer students. The University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Nursing offers one-on-one virtual sessions to speak directly with an admissions representative to get answers to your questions about UMSON’s programs, scholarships and the admissions process. You can also register for on-campus tours, get information on upcoming events, and find more information on the Dual-Admission Partnership between UMSON and HCC!
University of Maryland Global Campus (formerly University of Maryland University College) is available for phone appointments to discuss transfer. To schedule a phone appointment with an Education Coordinator, email cctransfer@umgc.edu to request an appointment. Additionally, UMGC is offering Virtual Open House sessions to all HCC students. Nova Southeastern University Florida (Fort Lauderdale-Davie, FL) has a brochure of information for students looking to transfer. Check out NSU Florida's Transfer Brochure.
Penn State Harrisburg (Middletown, PA) is available for one-on-one, 30-minute appointments with the Transfer Coordinator. Schedule a one-on-one, 30-minute appointment
Temple University Japan Campus (Tokyo, Japan) has regular webinars and virtual events geared toward transfer students in the US. Check out their list of virtual events
University of South Carolina (Columbia, SC) regularly offers appointments for students to meet with transfer admissions staff. Visit their scheduling page to make an appointment. Additionally, University of South Carolina recommends students from Maryland take courses from the Academic Common Market. Academic Common Market allows students in participating programs to receive in-state tuition rates, as long as they remain enrolled in that major and meet their specific state requirements. Eligible programs for Maryland residents include their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Risk Management and Insurance major, their Bachelor of Science - Hospitality Management, Club Management concentration, and their Bachelor of Science - Sport and Entertainment Management major.
