Construction Management Apprenticeship

Construction managers plan, coordinate, budget for, and supervise both residential and commercial development projects. HCC’s Construction Management Apprenticeship program allows students to pursue an exciting and dynamic career path in an industry that is rapidly growing.
Students complete a series of courses and lab work, coupled with 4,000 hours of paid field work over a period of two years. During this time, apprentices are exposed to every facet of the construction industry — from architectural and engineering roles to the many logistics involved in general contracting, from safety and regulatory guidelines to project planning, site surveying, blueprint reading, and material testing.
Upon completion of the program, apprentices are awarded a Construction Management Certificate from HCC. HCC’s Construction Management Apprenticeship program is the only one of its kind in Maryland.
