In Person Tutoring
In person tutoring takes place in the Academic Center for Excellence office in RCF 340. ACE welcomes walk-ins but strongly advises that students make appointments. Walk in appointments are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
To sign up for tutoring please do the following
- Read our policies and procedures
- Click the "Tutoring Appointment" button to set up an appointment
- Come prepared with your notes, books etc
When you arrive, simply sign in at the kiosk with your student ID. We’ll pair you with a peer or professional tutor who specializes in the subject you requested. Tutoring sessions typically last 45–50 minutes.
If you need to wait for your session, you’re welcome to use our computer stations or quiet study rooms.
The Academic Center for Excellence also offers in-person skills workshops to boost essential skills such as taking notes, test taking, memory building, writing research papers, and time management, as well as hour-long math review sessions that correspond with units in HCC math courses.
